Neurotransmitters – Tune Up Tuesday

Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers in the body which transmit signals from nerve cells to target cells such as muscles, glands or other nerves.
The brain needs neurotransmitters to regulate many vital bodily functions such as heart rate, respiration, sleep cycles, digestion, mood, appetite and muscle movement. BUT what happens if we have DEFICIENCIES or EXCESSES of these neurotransmitters? And how do you know? I discuss the function, signs and symptoms of four of our well-known neurotransmitters:
